Hotel Description

The Grupotel Amapola is a modern hotel, just 500 metres from the beach, which offers a wide range of outdoor activities onsite including tennis and swimming. The 156 air-conditioned guestrooms feature light decor with wood furnishings. All include balconies, satellite television, Internet access and direct-dial telephones. Bathrooms have bidets and shower/tub combinations. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The hotel's Amapola Restaurant serves a hot and cold buffet of international cuisine and traditional local dishes, and is open daily for breakfast and dinner. There is also a Bar Salon serving snacks and drinks, with a terrace area. Guests can enjoy swimming in the outside pool, while kids play in the children's pool; relax on the sunloungers with parasols; unwind with a drink from the snack bar, and practice their serves on the tennis court. It is also possible to play table tennis, do aerobics, play beach volleyball, billiards, bocce and mini-golf, and hire pedaloes at the beach. A seasonal entertainment program is on offer, providing evening entertainment and activities, and kids can play in the playground, and get involved with the kids' club activities. The hotel offers guided walks and expeditions around the island for groups of between 10 and 15 guests. Guests can also play in the games room and relax in the TV room, while practical amenities include a public Internet terminal for a surcharge, a 24-hour reception desk with multilingual staff, currency exchange and complimentary parking. There are many attractions in the area surrounding the hotel; S'Albufera de Mallorca Natural Park is six kilometres away, and the walled city of Alcudia is 10 kilometres distance. Pollenca Old Town is 15 kilometres away, and those wishing to travel further afield can visit Palma de Mallorca, 60 kilometres distant. Palma de Mallorca Airport is 60 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.

Bus no. 17 leaves the airport every 20 minutes, running to Paseo Mallorca in central Palma de Mallorca. There is a bus stop in front of the multi-storey car park, outside Door D of the Arrivals floor, and a bus stop outside the Check-in floor. Buses run by Autocares run regularly to Playa de Muro. Mallorca is served by a bus network, although guests may find that the island is best explored in a car, by foot or on a bike. Driving directions: From the airport take MA-19 in the direction Palma for five kilometres. At Palma take Exit Three towards Andratx, Port d'Alcudia, Via Cintura for three kilometres. Take the right exit 3B, the MA-20 towards Inca, Port d'Alcudia, Son Castello for 50 kilometres. At the roundabout take the first exit and continue on the PM-60. After four kilometres turn right onto PM-70. At the Port d'Alcúdia roundabout, take the second exit and continue on PM-V-343-3. Turn right at Avenida de los Pescadores de S'Albufera (C-712), and take the right. Continue on the Calle del Circuit del Llac for 500 metres and the hotel is on the left.
